| About the People of Amazing Fantasy

All told, the folks at Amazing Fantasy bring a lot of years of experience to running the store. Here are the experienced folks: Frank-- Frank is the store owner and main man in charge. He brings over 15 years experience to the store (but don't say anything about his gray hair). Frank grew up on a steady diet of super-hero adventures and is still growing. Ask him about any Spider-man appearance anywhere or any seemingly obscure Marvel title of the 70s and you'll be amazed at Frank's current knowledge of things from "back in the day." You can also talk to Frank about 70s music, famous comic book covers, comic book women, toys, and Marvel monster titles. Just don't disrespect Mary Jane, Barry (White or Manilow), or George Tuska. aLeXiS-- Some people feel as if they were born in the wrong decade, but aLeXiS was born at just the right time. A true "child of the 80s", aLeXiS revels in the fact that he witnessed the birth of modern technology and video games. He wears his obsession with "Saved by the Bell" like a badge, and whether it's music, movies, television, toys, or pop culture, if it's from the 80s, aLeXiS is into it. So when he's in the store, expect a nostalgic trip! Palle-- Palle has been a fan of comics for 25 years and describes himself as a professional collector of sorts and a scholar of the comics genre as a whole. Palle enjoys the Silver and Bronze Age (pre-Crisis) eras and has a special fondness for DC's Earth 2 stories. He knows his current and future comic book stuff, too; ask him about the latest stuff and the stuff that's coming soon. Tony-- Tony did not (although some he say was not allowed to) respond to interview requests for information for this page. Rumors abound as to Tony's past and present and it would be irresponsible to publish unfounded speculation about T-Bone here. But we can responsibly report that Tony is a film buff and a music aficionado. And we can add that "T" apparently answers to several nicknames and seems to speak in code on the phone, which only adds fuel to the speculation about his other endeavors. Feel free to ask Tony anything, but be careful what you ask and be careful with the answer. Phil-- Did you ever think you were seeing double? Have you ever seen Frank and Phil in the same place? The original Ben Reilly makes an occasional appearance at AF and it's always cause for conversation. Ask Phil about Namor (and don't call him the Sub-ma-REEN-er) and his pal Sal. |
